Description
Your probably thinking, "what am I going to do with clear shards?!" Well if you enjoy playing with silver glasses, you are going to love these clear shards. Use them to create some pretty amazing effects with your reducing and striking glasses. Check out the photo examples to see what I mean.
The example paddle was made using a base of Black Nebula, a layer of clear shards, a couple pieces of Ekho Shards and then more clear shards.
This shard can also be used for an ultra thin clear encasement on other styles of beads as well.
Get addicted! And open up a myrid of new design avenues. Simply place a piece of shard on your core bead, apply some heat to secure the shard to the bead and you are done. You can also add further decoration over the top of the shard or melt it in and move it around to give colour and texture to a more organic design. You will find the options are limited only by your imagination! Shards can be use for both lampworking and fusing. They are paper thin pieces of glass and come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Some may be thicker than others. These shards can also be broken into smaller pieces very easily if some of the pieces are to big for your use. Hand blown by Joe from Avenue Beads.
