Zeus is a handpulled silver glass by Trautman Art Glass. Sold per 115g (1/4 pound) or per rod. Rods are 3-7mm dia. Compatiable with other 104 coe glasses.

This glass looks crystal clear in the rod but when reduced and then struck, it changes dramatically.  Reducing activates the glasses properties and develops a metallic surface that will become more opaque as it is repeatedly struck.  Zeus over light colours will turn amber. Over black its reduction properties will strike through a range of colours from royal blue to turquoise and green.  Try it over transparent orange for an electric purple.  Turquoise can be attained by placing it on medium transparent purples and a lovely apricot colour is achieved when used over Ruvino Oro (Gold Pink).  Zeus will also reduce more to amber brown opaques.  Encases well and retains it colours under clear.  NOTE:  If you are having trouble striking its reduction, try encasing. Often the higher heat of meting in an encaseent, dots or full coats, will strike a stubbon Zeus application.
