Deep Purple is a handpulled silver glass by Trautman Art Glass. Sold per 115g (1/4 pound) or per rod. Rods are 3-7mm dia. Compatiable with other 104 coe glasses.

Deep Purple is a smoky deep dark purple transparent glass that reduces to a super metallic effect with little or no oxygen.  It get a thicker more opaque reduction film when reduced with some oxygen. Stike in a reduction flame and it will become more opaque. This glass can be encased .  It generally reduces to blues and greens with sometimes even purples, pinks and even bronze like tones in the sheen.  It's density allows you to use thin applications of this glass and it works well for stringers.
