Dalai Lama is a handpulled silver glass by Trautman Art Glass. Sold per 115g (1/4 pound) or per rod. Rods are 3-7mm dia. Compatiable with other 104 coe glasses.  Some recent batches of this glass appears to boil when white hot but this vanishes when cooled. 

This glass is an opaque striking colour.  It needs to be melted in with a neutral flame, then lightly reduce and cooled slightly.  To bring out the colours strike in a neutral to oxidizing flame where painted desert effects can be achieved. Colours range from transparent amber to blues and greens through to pinks and purples.  Encases well and retains its reactions under clear.
