Description
Sold per 115g (1/4 pound). Rods are approx. 4-6mm in dia. Fully 104coe compatiable. Abe's Ivy is a soft glass renditon of Abe's borosilicate Ivy color. A really beautiful silver glass.
This glass likes plenty of reduction, but try not to overdo it. All it needs is a roll around in the flame until you see the haze appear. Then let it cool before going back to a neutral flame. Reduce a number of times to bring out the colours. This should be done at the back of the flame. Do this a number of times for the best results.
Striking Guide for Precision 104 Colours:
Use adequate ventilation when using silver rich colours.
Use a neutral flame (shortest yellow candle) while constructing your bead.
Remove your piece from the flame until the glass loses it glow.
Adjust your flame to slightly reducing (longer yellow candles) by turning propane up or oxygen down.
Reheat your bead until the glass is glowing again.
Remove the bead from the flame and watch the colours develop. To further develop the colours repeat.
To clean off any effects reheat at the tip of an oxygen rich flame.
