Description
Sold x 115 grm (1/4 lb) Paris Green 6 borosilicate Glass Rods. Paris Green-6, 4646 was originally designed in response to the artists request for a transparent green that din't turn red. We set out to meet this challenge and developed 3 shades of this revolutionary color, Kryptonite 461 being the lightest and Paris Green-6, 4646 being the darkest. Size: 7mm x 58cm length. Weight per rod approx. 32 grms. 3-4 rods per 115grms or 12 - 15 rods per 458 grms (1lb).
Working Tip:
Layer over Sno White, 9995 for a neon effect. Also try substituting this color for clear in bead/pendant work for a unique effect.

A what you see is what you get transparent green glass. Works a bit stiffer than clear but works very nicely for blown and sculptural work. The tint of green will be controlled by your application and thickness of color and by how much manipulation is done to the color layer. Some of the work I have used the Paris Greens on reminds me of manipulated bottle glass, which is wonderful to think about because it was beach glass and bottles that I collected long before lampworking.
This is a great color for solid sculpting because unlike other transparent greens, this one stays true green, transparent, and will not get red streaks or patches from copper coming to the surface. Paris Green-6 is good for encasing other Glass Alchemy colors. Try encasing anything with silver, or use over Glass Alchemy Acid Yellow and Glass Alchemy Sno White.
