Description
Sold x 115 grm (1/4 lb) Glass Alchemy Kryptonite borosilicate Glass Rods. Kryptonite, 461 was designed as a tint color to be layered over other colors or to be gathered into larger sculptural forms. Due to the ionic nature of the colorant the intensity of hue increases with the thickness of the application. Size: 7mm x 58cm length. Weight per rod approx. 32 grms. 3-4 rods per 115grms or 12 - 15 rods per 458 grms (1lb).
Working Tip:
Layer over Sno White, 9995 for a neon effect. Also try substituting this color for clear in bead/pendant work for a unique effect.

This ionic light-green translucent becomes more vibrant in solid form or in a thick walled blown piece. I use it mostly for solid sculpture that is 7mm or thicker. When 4mm or less the color is more of a tint that can accentuate vibrancy of other tones around it or underneath it.
Kryptonite works wonderfully; it is smooth and quick to melt, similar to working clear or Cobalt. Unfortunately it will not render Superman helpless for our next battle.
