Coral Blush, 1382 was designed to bring the red tones found in the corals on the coast of California to you.  1382 brings a variety of pink hues with splashes of yellow and purple. Size: 7mm x 58cm length. Weight per rod approx. 32 grms. 3-4 rods per  115grms or 12 - 15 rods per 458 grms (1lb).

Working Tip:

Kiln strike at 1075° F for one hour, +/-20min. An even strike requires even heat.

A striking opalescent pinkish red that will shift in color depending on flame setting, heat exposure and annealing time.  You will see color ranging from pale pink to coral oranges and deep reds. This color works well without encasement in clear but will soften in tone and become milky and translucent when sandwiched between clear layers and blown.  If you like what your piece looks like going into the annealer, then run a quick cycle and ramp down. If Coral Blush soaks in the kiln too long the color tone tends to even out, where there might have once been a gradient or shift..- Mike Shelbo
