Among our first releases, Green Carnival, 485 is a copper-silver color that gives you more bang for your buck. In addition to the standard silver effects, you get a bonus of red hues and lusters from the copper. It has withstood the test of time and has become very popular in the bead world. Size: 7mm x 58cm length. Weight per rod approx. 32 grms. 3-4 rods per 115grms or 12 - 15 rods per 458 grms (1lb).

Working Tip:
Flame or kiln strike at 1075°F. Work neutral; reduce at end for metallic effects.

This dark green emerald transparent color is full of metals that allow you to get a variety of results by using different working methods. Encasement in clear will yield an emerald transparent with wisps and veils of light and dark blues and greens. If you are leaving the color on the surface you should use a neutral flame. If worked properly then a metallic iridescence is achievable by making quick passes through a reduction flame as the final step in your process, before putting your piece in the kiln.
Over reduction will result in a pink haze on the surface of the color, this is from the copper in the green. You can slowly move through the phases of reduction that will range from a light iridized look to a heavy metal shine to an opalescent build up of cool colors in the green spectrum.
